THE FIRST WOMAN TO WEAR TROUSERS

Luisa Capetillo is credited to be the first woman to wear trousers in Puerto Rico in 1919. She was arrested on the grounds that it was a crime and a huge scandal, but was later released by the judge who agreed with her defence arguement in court.
