HISTORY OF LAPTOP COMPUTERS



Former Journalist Adam Osbourne created the first commercially accepted portable computer called Osbourne 1. It was released in April 1982. Osbourne 1 weighed about 24 pounds. It had 64kb memory and a 5 inch monitor. 
At the time, it cost about $1795 to acquire.
