HISTORY OF EASTER EGGS AND BUNNIES
There are several theories about the Easter Bunny's origin but the theory which holds more evidence is that of it's German origin.
Just like Santa Claus, the German legend has it that Osterhase, which is German for Easter Hare, was the judge of children and he would reward good children with beautifully eggs and sometimes toys, while naughty children got nothing.
Sometimes children would leave carrots in their garden to entice the Hare.
This became a German tradition and when some Germans migrated to Pennsylvania around 1700s, they brought the tradition of the Easter Bunny and eggs with them.
