HISTORY OF WEDGE SHOES

In 1936,Italian designer Salvatore Ferragamo created the Wedge shoes due to scarcity of steel and other materials needed for shoe making with traditional heels..
He improvised with other materials like Sardinian Cork and came up with wedges, which became an instant hit.
