The first video game in the world was unveiled at the Brookhaven National Laboratory's annual visitor's day on October 18, 1958. It was invented by one of Brookhaven's physicists Williams Higbotham. He felt most of the exhibitions were dull and boring and visitors needed something to liven it up. It was called the Tennis for two and it ran on an analog computer with a 5 inch oscilloscope screen.
Many were excited to play the game.
